Apron Design by Arianna Adamopoulou

Willem de Kooning Academie
Module: Me, WP2

Why give the rich women of New York an item that they will rarely use? The design of the apron is completely functional; however, the setting in which it is seen has no use for it. The typicality and functionality of the apron are transformed into more suitable garment for the Manhattan-wife lifestyle and meant to be appreciated as more of an artifact than a useful tool for the kitchen.
